Agave Estates may have been hit hard by Hurricane Harvey (the pastoral wedding and events enclave in Katy was forced to close its Agave Road venue as a result of the storm), but Nicci and Drew’s lovely wedding demonstrates, beautifully, that this beloved Houston-area wedding location is very much alive, and just a charming as ever. The couple’s first visit to Agave Estates actually sealed the deal on having a Texas wedding. As Nicci recounts, “Our greatest obstacle was picking a location for our wedding. Since we are originally from Illinois, we couldn’t decide if we wanted to get married in Illinois or Texas. We decided on Texas once we saw Agave Estates! Agave made the wedding-planning process go so smoothly and stress free.” For their destination-style wedding at the Estates’ Agave Real space, Nicci and Drew focused on food, family and FUN. “The venue is so beautiful we didn’t need to add much, just a little touch to make it ‘us’,” Nicci says. “I wanted to make the wedding really special, so for table numbers I did pictures of us throughout the years. Table One, for example, had pictures of us at age one, and so on. Those took a long time to make, but they turned out great. We also did a slideshow, which also took a long time to gather and upload the pictures, but we wanted all of our guests to feel part of our wedding. Our favorite moment aside from saying, ‘I do,” was toward the end of the night…I will never forget it. Our families and friends made a giant circle on their own and begin singing and dancing, the DJ then chimed in and it was the perfect way to end the night!” Scroll down to enjoy more of this sweet, low-key, Texas-style wedding through images from Houston wedding photographer Dream Photo & Video, and join us in wishing the newlyweds a lifetime of LOVE!
