Last week, Weddings in Houston celebrated the launch of our Fall/Winter 2019 Issue. Weddings in Houston’s VIP Insider engaged couples, partners and industry vendors came together for a memorable night of dancing and celebrating. Over 250 guests enjoyed fabulous food and drink, luxurious decor and exciting entertainment at the historic Julia Ideson Library in downtown Houston.
To start the celebration, guests enjoyed a relaxing cocktail lounge and photo booth by LG Event Entertainment & Production, with a beautiful fresh floral Instagram wall by Royal Luxury Events; the Houston-based wedding decor firm designed the evening’s stunning decor.
After cocktail hour, the venue opened to reveal a beautiful ceremony set up. Upstairs, an absolutely breathtaking reception space featured expansive dining tables, a romantic circular head table, luxe lounges and cake displays all in a fresh palette of green, gold, cream, blush and coral.
Guests danced under colorful lights from Bright Star Productions to the live musical talent of favorite local wedding band Danny Ray And The Acoustic Production. Delicious little bites – like buttermilk chicken & waffle bites and wild mushroom quesadillas – by Café Natalie Catering kept guests fueled for dancing until the very end of the evening, which was beautifully captured by Houston wedding photographer Civic Photos and on film by Houston wedding videographers Mia & Taffy.
For sweets, strawberry-and-lemon cupcakes and a romantic hand-painted swan wedding cake and cunning deer groom’s cake by Susie’s Cakes & Confections; a delightfully Instagrammable dessert bar of cheesecake and lemon bar bites by Virginia’s Cakes; and take-home slices of a sweet storybook wedding cake by Edible Moments rounded out the celebration. Here’s to over 33 fabulous years of producing fabulous content and luxury events!
