Very few people can run 14 miles on the first date, and that’s how you know Elizabeth and Jeremiah were meant to be from the start. So, when Jeremiah decided to pop the question with a dazzling engagement ring from I W Marks Jewelers, it was only natural that it was after a 10-mile run.  “When I turned to look at him, he was down on one knee! It was such a blur! I remember taking the ring from him and putting it on my finger,” Elizabeth says.

After a delay of several months due to the pandemic, the couple finally celebrated their big day on September 12, 2020, at Margaritaville Lake Resort, a light and bright, tropical resort venue on the sparkling shores of Lake Conroe.

Before heading to the resort, the couple pledged their love in a church ceremony amidst 200 friends and loved ones. The bride wore a fit and flare sweetheart gown, which complemented her soft, natural makeup and loose updo by Blush Hair and Makeup Artistry.

The reception took place in the hotel’s sunny and airy “Del Lago” ballroom with stunning views of the piney woods and surrounding lake. Fresh white hydrangea, buttercream roses and eucalyptus decorated the light-filled space. The floral centerpieces sat atop glass risers with dripping strings of beaded crystals on the family-style tables. Floating candles completed the couple’s timeless ivory and emerald green reception.

The couple waltzed through the evening on a white, custom monogrammed dance floor. Live music filled the room as guests enjoyed a delicious dinner of Braised Beef short rib with corn puree and heirloom baby carrots. Dessert was a 3-tier Amaretto Genoise cake with raspberry filling and vanilla buttercream with a handmade cake topper of the bride and groom created specially by the bride’s sister — one of Elizabeth’s favorite details of the wedding.
