Houston’s original landmark hotel, The Whitehall shines with gracious southern hospitality and crave-worthy cuisine. A mid-century architectural gem, The Whitehall, has been a beloved landmark in downtown Houston since 1963. Legendary musical icons like Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, Michael Jackson and Cher are just a few high-profile celebrities who have stayed at the historic property. Of particular note is the iconic spiral staircase that appears to float in mid-air.
This 1960’s inspired shoot by Florafost Photography is a throwback to the era of classic rock and retro-inspired hues. The hotel’s mid-century decor and bold color palette were the inspiration behind this light-hearted shoot. “The real beauty of this space is that it can easily be transformed to fit the vision of any bride or groom,” says Karrie of Florafost Photography.
Misty Rockwell Artistry created a Twiggy-inspired look with vibrant yellow eyeshadow, a defined cut crease, dramatic lashes and bold red lipstick finished with a high ponytail. Kary King Boutique provided a fitted bridal gown with detachable puff sleeves. Vibrant flowers in electric yellow, deep magenta and tangerine, filled The Whitehall’s courtyard, a quaint outdoor sanctuary in the heart of downtown Houston. Common Bond Bistro & Bakery designed the wedding cake with hand-painted flowers and fresh, fragrant blooms.
