Lee moved back to Houston from Chicago during the pandemic. At the time, Ali was dating one of Lee’s friends. A few months later, fate intervened, and Ali matched with Lee on a dating app. Since then, the two have been inseparable, building a strong and loving relationship.
After moving in together, Ali and Lee expanded their family by adopting a chatty tabby cat. Passionate about traveling, the couple impulsively booked a European trip. Lee planned a romantic proposal at the majestic garden of the Palace of Versailles. Concealing the engagement ring box in a sock, Lee knelt and playfully asked Ali to spend her life with him. “It was extremely romantic,” the bride says.
On April 5, 2024, Ali and Lee exchanged vows at the historic Houston venue AvantGarden. This unique venue, full of character and charm, provided the perfect setting for their enchanting al fresco wedding. The wedding details were inspired by art nouveau, with muted neutrals and greens adorning their nuptials, creating a serene and elegant atmosphere.
Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour with soulful tunes from a live jazz band while Ali and Lee exchanged private vows. Under the glow of string lights and hanging greenery, romantic florals and gold-accented decor detailed the reception tables. Family and friends celebrated Ali and Lee’s union late into the evening. The night concluded with a magical sparkler send-off before the couple departed on their honeymoon to Cancun, Mexico.
Congratulations, Ali & Lee!
