Checking In
Upon checking into our room at this Houston oasis, friendly staff and exceptional service greeted us at the door. The front desk team made everything easy, providing our room keys, helping us book dinner reservations, and providing us with maps of the expansive 27-acre wooded grounds. We were delighted to find Champagne and chocolates waiting for us as we entered our room—talk about setting the tone for a relaxing stay! The serene greenery outside our window was the perfect escape from the city, kicking off our experience at this Houston icon in the best way possible.
Luxurious Day at the Trellis Spa & The Covery
Our day at the Trellis Spa began with slipping into a comfy robe and slippers. The first appointment was a 50-minute custom massage. The masseuse asked about stress areas and then worked her magic with lavender rosemary oil on our necks and shoulders. The calming music, heated table and peaceful environment were just what we needed. After the massage, it was time for the Trellis Signature Pedicure. The extensive selection of high-end nail polish allowed us to choose the perfect shade of pink. The pedicure included everything: a cuticle soak, skin exfoliation, nail shaping, and nail enamel application. After our treatments, we lounged around the soaking pools and garden, sipping glasses of wine and soaking in the tranquility.
Between spa appointments and our time at The Covery, we had lunch poolside at The Kitchen, enjoying refreshing and healthy bites. At The Covery, we experienced an energizer IV, compression boots, red light therapy, and a mind tap, leaving us relaxed and revitalized before dinner at The Bar.
Evening Bliss
After an evening rain shower, the weather cooled down perfectly for a patio dinner at The Bar. The drink menu offered an impressive selection of cocktails, wine and spirits. We enjoyed glasses of white wine, perfectly complementing the summer night and entrees. After dinner, we took a stroll around the campus trails, pausing at the iconic Live Oak tree adorned with twinkling lights and the historic Manor House. The night ended in pure bliss, with plush pillows and luxury sheets providing the perfect end to a magical day.
Exploring The Club and Pool
The following day, we toured The Club and discovered its amazing and extensive amenities. The Club boasts a gym, outdoor track, group exercise rooms, resort pools, pickleball courts, and world-class tennis courts. With amenities such as luxurious locker rooms, steam rooms, saunas, on-site physical therapists, registered dietitians, massages, shops, and restaurants, every need is catered to. Perfect for getting in shape for your wedding day. After the tour, we enjoyed some sun by the pool before checking out.
