Miranda and LA first crossed paths in high school, but it wasn’t until years later that the two reconnected through summer beach volleyball. After some flirty DMs, the couple’s first official date was to a wedding in Chicago, where sparks flew.
After spending some time navigating long distances and the pandemic, Miranda and LA decided to take the next step and build a life together by purchasing their first home. While decorating their Christmas tree in their new abode, LA popped the big question. “It was low-key and beautiful,” the bride says.
On February 4, 2023, Miranda and LA pledged their love with a champagne, copper and emerald green wedding ceremony at The Astorian. The chic, industrial venue was adorned with elegant white floral arrangements and suspended florals that perfectly complemented their heartfelt vows. LA’s uncle, who knew the couple exceptionally well, had the honor of officiating their special day.
After the “I do,” the celebration continued with a glamorous reception overlooking the Houston skyline. “The Astorian is such an iconic venue,” the bride says. Miranda and LA detailed their reception space with idyllic florals, warm candlelight and a decadent cake made by Cakes by Gina.
Before dancing the night away, Miranda slipped out of her Rime Aradoky gown and into her after-party attire. The newlyweds ended the night with a private last dance and bubble send-off before departing in a Rolls Royce. “We truly threw the best party,” the bride says.
