Step into the enchanting world of the Grand Galvez, a historic landmark property that has recently undergone a breathtaking transformation. Nestled on the Texas Gulf Coast, this newly-restored 112-year-old hotel venue is a testament to timeless elegance and luxurious indulgence.

You’ll be captivated by the hotel’s rich history and grandeur from the moment you arrive. Affectionately known as the “Queen of the Gulf,” the Grand Galvez first opened its doors in 1911, and now, thanks to the vision of its new owner, Mark Wyant, it has been revitalized to its grand beginnings, blending the energy of the Gatsby era with modernism. Wyant says, “We have great respect for the iconic architecture of this property. I can assure everyone that our vision for the ‘new’ Grand Galvez honors the historic design, offering a refreshed elegance throughout the hotel. These designs reflect the new energy we are bringing to the resort and all its amenities.”

As you approach the property, you’ll be greeted by its iconic pink facade, a nod to the venue’s original color when it opened over a century ago. Stepping inside, you’ll be wowed by the renewed Peacock Alley, the magnificent walkway leading from the lobby to the spa and ballroom, a design element that had been absent for over 70 years. In addition, the lobby boasts a stunning mosaic that reads “Queen of the Gulf,” while the front desk replicates the style from 1911.

Immerse yourself in the timeless ambiance of the Grand Galvez by exploring its meticulously restored features. Sip on craft cocktails at the Founders Bar, indulge in culinary delights at the Monarch Restaurant, and marvel at the Italian Marble Fountain, all paying tribute to the hotel’s rich heritage.

For those seeking relaxation and pampering, the Grand Galvez offers a spacious 10,000-square-foot spa, the perfect sanctuary for brides-to-be to unwind before their big day. Indulge in the spa’s signature offering, “The Texas Ruby,” featuring ruby grapefruit essential oil and hot-infused towels and inhalants, or book a couple’s massage for the ultimate post-wedding relaxation.

And speaking of weddings, the Grand Galvez boasts indoor and outdoor event spaces with a dedicated wedding team and exquisite in-house catering by talented chefs.

So whether you prefer the classic elegance of the Music Hall or the breathtaking gulf views from the Terrace & Veranda, the Grand Galvez offers a variety of options for your big day.
