Elise, a lawyer, and Jeremy, a financial analyst, met at Elise’s sister’s wedding, where Jeremy, a close friend of the couple, was a groomsman. Flash forward to a sunny spring day in 2019; the couple spent it at The Houston Zoo. Jeremy nervously popped the question near the elephant enclosure, elephants being Elise’s favorite animal.
The biggest challenge throughout the planning process? “Planning during law school!” the bride says. On January 4, 2020, the couple pledged their love at Corinthian Houston in a bloom-filled romantic wedding inspired by a winter wonderland. Stunning archways of orchids and white blooms, designed by Plants N’ Petals, adorned the ceremony space and complimented the sparkling crystal chandeliers. Elise’s bridal bouquet was special as it included flowers that both her grandmothers, mother and sister had chosen for their bouquets and white orchids. Of note were the reading and prayer by the groom’s mother and the speeches by the bride’s parents.
Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour with a Raw Bar. Dinner included a variety of flavorful cuisine, including fajitas, twice-baked Parmesan goat cheese souffle, beef tenderloin and a dumpling station, to name a few. One of the newlyweds’ favorite moments? The bride says, “Dancing at the reception and being surrounded by the love and support of our family and friends.”
