Melanie and Adam’s story began on a dating app like so many modern romances. The pair made an exception to their usual first-date rule and opted for dinner over drinks. After hours of conversation and bonding over a mutual love for the University of Michigan, the pair knew they had discovered something special.

In July 2021, a getaway to Vail, Colorado, opened the door for the next chapter in the couple’s love story. While stopping to soak in the breathtaking views at Vail Pass, Adam got down on one knee and proposed at 11,036 feet. Luckily, an incognito professional photographer captured the romantic moments.

On November 12, 2022, Melanie and Adam said “I Do” in a Houston wedding decorated in ivory, gold and black hues. Before walking down the aisle, the couple and their wedding party enjoyed a small football watch party in the hotel venue’s lobby bar. The bride says, “I was getting a lot of looks from other hotel guests sitting in there watching Michigan football in my gown and veil with a glass of champagne in hand. It was really fun to hang out with our family and wedding party in a casual and intimate way before officially beginning the wedding.”

After the sunset, friends and loved ones gathered aside a grand oak tree glowing with string lights for a romantic twilight ceremony. Light bites and speciality cocktails named after Melanie and Adam’s beloved pets followed the heartfelt vows. The festivities continued with an elegant ballroom reception filled with dancing and laughter. The bride says, “After the speeches and toasts, our dads surprised us by appearing in costumes and singing a song in front of everyone. It was hilarious and totally unexpected.”

After dining and dancing, the couple cut into a delicious four-tier buttercream cake decorated with dainty florals by Susie’s Cakes. As for the groom’s cake, guests enjoyed a stunning replica of the groom’s espresso machine featuring two cups personalized with the couple’s names.

As Melanie and Adam made their grand exit, Cinematic Saviors captured all the joyous moments.
