Michelle and Michael, both pharmacists, met through work and soon started dating. After three months, she knew he was the one.
Michael planned an intimate and romantic proposal, with dinner and a bouquet of roses waiting for her when she got home from work.
The couple had a grand wedding on November 5, 2022, at The Bell Tower on 34th. The Vietnamese-Taiwanese wedding had the bride in three beautiful dresses, elegant décor in a palette of dusty rose, desert rose, mauve and several traditions, all captured flawlessly by Amy Maddox Photography. The traditional lion dance during the cocktail hour was intended to ward off evil spirits and bring blessings for a long and happy marriage. Of the chào bàn, the bride explains, “The chào bàn is an important Vietnamese wedding tradition where the bride and groom greet each table and are met with toasts, more drinking, and monetary gifts for good luck.”
The couple set up a special room for dancing to Danny Ray and the Atlantic Street Band. The bride says, “My husband and I went to the top balcony of the room to hide. When the band did the second announcement, we came out and popped confetti cannons into the crowd. It was a great way to start the party!”
