It wasn’t until her dad encouraged her to speak to cute ranch-hand Nathan (“my dad, who NEVER encouraged his daughters to date,” she laughs), that Louisiana-born Abbie took a second look at the shy guy who worked on her family’s hunting lease. And she liked what she saw. So much so, that when Nathan dropped on one knee and presented her with that unmistakable Tiffany box in November of last year, “I just threw my arms around him and of course I said, ‘Yes!!’” The couple’s summer wedding, coordinated by Gray & Associates Events at Lake Conroe’s picturesque Sanctuary at Water Oak served up Southern favorites including seafood bisque and blackened catfish, along with hand-rolled cigars, a swank whiskey bar, and lots of lively dancing. The pair’s pups Ellie and Boozer were on hand to watch the couple say their vows, and if there ever were two sweeter flower girls than the tulle-frocked cuties at Abbie’s side, we don’t know how or where. Thanks so much, Abbie and Nathan, for sharing your joy with us and our brides. Thanks, too, to Jenna Christine, for the selections of fine photos!
