If you get a pimple, compress with a very warm towel for five minutes every hour until the pimple has shrunk.\u201d Bam!<\/p>\n

2. Banish unwanted hair with care.<\/strong><\/p>\n

While a bit of fuzz may be fine for everyday, professional wedding makeup is best applied to a smooth canvas. But don\u2019t wait until the last minute to depilate. \u201cMake sure you have done all hair removal 10 days before your wedding date,\u201d cautions beauty expert and lash wiz Donyale Jones of Donyale MUA<\/a>. \u201cWe don\u2019t want any peach fuzz on that upper lip to show!\u201d<\/p>\n

Sorrels of KAX Salon agrees that it\u2019s crucial to give yourself a good window of time before your wedding to get eyebrows, upper lip and other facial areas in shape. \u201cDo NOT thread or wax the day before the wedding,\u201d but DO make hair removal part of your bridal beauty regimen. \u201cThis way your makeup will go on smooth and even,\u201d she explains.<\/p>\n

3. Tackle major \u201cissues\u201d well in advance of your wedding.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Even the most confident among us have things we\u2019d like to change about our bodies\u2014especially when we know we\u2019re going to be in the spotlight.<\/p>\n

4. Be extra kind to your eyes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a bride, you\u2019re going to want big, beautiful, dramatic, expressive eyes in person and<\/em> in photos. Which means professional makeup, designed to emphasize and enhance this most beautiful feature of every bridal face. Which can be tricky if those peepers of yours are not in tip-top shape.<\/p>\n

\u201cDehyrated and puffy eyes can be challenging for a makeup artist,\u201d Sorrels says. \u201cInvest in a good eye cream and apply it every night. Then apply a cold towel compress in the morning.\u201d Cutting back on salt and alcohol can help, too. And getting plenty of sleep is absolutely key!<\/p>\n

Plus, Jones adds: \u201cDrink a lot<\/em> of water during the entire month before your wedding. This will have your skin\u201d\u2014including the delicate skin around your eyes\u2014\u201cat its very best.\u201d<\/p>\n
