Amber and Michael’s story began in high school, where they crossed many milestones together, from attending prom to moving to New York after college graduation.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

After eleven years of dating, Michael decided to propose. The groom’s first attempt was thwarted by the chilly weather in upstate New York, but he wasn’t deterred. Closer to their anniversary date, Amber knew Michael was up to something during a date night. The bride says, “He wasn’t in a hurry to make it home for the Game Of Thrones premiere (of the final season). Very suspicious.” Her intuition was right; Michael had planned a romantic evening, complete with a sushi dinner and a stroll in the park.<\/p>\n

The couple wed in an alfresco ceremony at Madera Estates<\/a>. Warm candlelight and feathery pampas grass, ferns and white florals decorated the fall celebration. A sweet highlight from the wedding was the “very particular” flower girl who opted for autumn leaves instead of flower petals, arranging them oh so perfectly down the aisle. Amber walked down the aisle in an intricate ivory and gold gown, complete with a long cathedral veil.<\/p>\n

The festivities continued with a reception full of lively mariachi, Spanish dancing, and unique details like a late-night snack of Ramen noodles for guests. The celebration concluded with a private dance in the Hacienda ballroom followed by a sparkler send-off underneath the starry sky.<\/p>\n

The bride says, “The planning and build-up to the day were hard, but the day itself went off without a hitch. It was amazing, everything happened exactly as planned, and all the pieces moved like clockwork.”<\/p>\n
