Renee and JJ first connected on Bumble during the peak of COVID. Sparks immediately flew when Renee invited JJ over for movies and margaritas. A few months later, in June 2020, while visiting JJ in Lubbock, he asked Renee to be his girlfriend during a romantic walk through the park.<\/p>\n

When it came time to pop the question, JJ wanted to make it meaningful. He took Renee back to the same park where they became official. While taking couple portraits, JJ got down on one knee and asked Renee to marry him. After Renee said \u201cyes,\u201d the two celebrated over steak and champagne with their families.<\/p>\n

On April 22, 2023, Renee and JJ said “I do” with a traditional church ceremony. A special moment from their wedding ceremony was walking back down the aisle as newlyweds and “seeing the entire crowd being so utterly happy and excited for us as we embark on this journey,” the bride says.<\/p>\n

After exchanging vows, the celebration continued in the Omni Houston Hotel’s<\/a> grand ballroom. Plants N’ Petals<\/a> adorned the space with blooming pink and white florals that covered the reception tables and dripped from the crystal chandeliers, perfectly tying in the couple’s color scheme of pink and navy. As the night went on, Renee and JJ danced with family and friends to live music, capping off their dream wedding.<\/p>\n
